Ice Spice responded to criticism of her debut album Y2K’s cowl artwork on Thursday (June 6). The Capitol Information artist insisted the album’s title was deliberately positioned on a trash can for the duvet.
“David LaChapelle is #Y2K!” she wrote on X (previously generally known as Twitter). “soooo candy + legendary he didn’t even cost me c## he f#### wit an actual b####. thank U for all of the unimaginable artwork you’ve put out via the years this cowl means the whole lot to me & sure Y2K was positioned on the trash can on goal can u guess why?”
High Dawg Leisure’s Purpose was among the many many individuals questioning Ice Spice’s Y2K cowl artwork on social media. He believed the title’s placement on a trash can was a mistake.

Ice Spice’s Y2K is scheduled to drop on July 26. She mentioned her mother impressed the album in an interview with Apple Music.

It’s brown lip liner regardless of the place you go. So, fortunately I had her as my inspo rising up. And naturally, similar to the web, you’re feeling me? Similar to anybody else.”
