CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Hendrick Motorsports has dropped longtime sponsor Hooters, saying the restaurant chain recognized for hen wings and skimpy wait-staff outfits couldn’t meet its monetary dedication to the NASCAR group.
Hooters had sponsored the No. 9 automotive pushed by NASCAR Cup Sequence champion Chase Elliott since 2017.
Hendrick Motorsports thanked Hooters for it contributions since approaching board “to our shared successes each on and off the monitor.” However it stated the chain couldn’t pay its payments.
