The Black Music Motion Coalition joined forces with Victoria Monét to create a brand new grant designed to empower the following era of Black artists. The BMAC x Victoria Monét Music Maker Grant recipient will obtain $5,000, entry to mentorship alternatives and profession recommendation from Monét.

Monét’s grant recipient can be chosen following a nationwide search. The grant bolstered BMAC’s in depth lineup of grants and applications geared toward serving to Black trade professionals and rising artists. The group beforehand launched a Music Maker Grant with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, who will host BMAC’s Grammy Week Music Maker Dinner in Los Angeles on Wednesday (January 31).

Monét partnered with the BMAC after scoring seven nominations for the 2024 Grammy Awards, which occur on Sunday (February 4). The singer-songwriter’s single “On My Mama” was nominated for Document of the 12 months, one of the coveted awards within the music trade.
