The New York Knicks acquired Brooklyn Nets ahead Mikal Bridges through commerce Tuesday evening in trade for Bojan Bogdanovic and a plethora of draft picks, together with 4 unprotected first-round picks, based on ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
The deal reunites Bridges along with his Villanova Wildcats teammates — Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart and Donte DiVincenzo. The 4 gained a nationwide championship in 2016 and performed collectively for 2 seasons at Villanova. Brunson, Bridges and DiVincenzo gained a second nationwide title in 2018.
After being traded from the Phoenix Suns to Brooklyn in 2023, Bridges averaged a career-high 26.1 factors in 27 video games with the Nets that season. He averaged 19.6 factors through the 2023-24 marketing campaign.
