Alleged Homicide Mastermind Arrested Once more

Hernandez Govan, the person accused of ordering the hit on Younger Dolph, was arrested in Southaven, Mississippi on Sunday (June 23). Govan was charged with stalking, driving with a suspended license and having an improperly mounted license tag.

Based on a number of reviews, Govan posted a $2,250 bond. He was launched from the DeSoto County Jail on Monday (June 24).

Govan was apprehended whereas out on bond within the Younger Dolph homicide case. Govan was granted a $90,000 bond in 2023. His co-defendants Justin Johnson and Cornelius Smith remained behind bars.

“We have been apprised of Govan’s arrest on an unrelated preexisting warrant,” a Shelby County District Lawyer’s Workplace spokesperson informed FOX 13 Memphis. “We’re trying into the circumstances. The courtroom might be made conscious of the arrest.”

Govan will face site visitors violations in Southaven Municipal Courtroom on Wednesday (June 26). He’s scheduled to look in DeSoto County Justice Courtroom for the stalking cost on August 20.

Younger Dolph was shot and killed at a Memphis bakery in 2021. Prosecutors accused Govan of orchestrating the late rapper’s homicide. Johnson and Smith allegedly carried out the lethal capturing.

Govan, Johnson and Smith’s trial is about to start in September following a number of delays. The trial’s postponements annoyed Mia Jaye, Younger Dolph’s longtime accomplice and the mom of his kids.

“It’s really hurtful that my household was robbed of a future,” she wrote. “My love’s life was taken… and to be left behind to see NO ONE be held accountable within the courtroom of regulation for the act… is INSANE…. Our household has witnessed lenient bonds being granted, absurd requests accredited for the defendants to get a [change of] venue movement, freedom, extra time to construct a stronger protection… witnessed songs be made, defendants having fun with life whereas on [house arrest]… all whereas our liked one is 6feet deep, ready for JUSTICE to be served… speak about disheartening, unfair, triggering and hurtful.”

Govan, Johnson and Smith have been charged with first-degree homicide for his or her roles in Younger Dolph’s dying. Johnson’s brother Jermarcus pleaded responsible to accent after the actual fact and awaits sentencing.
